Park Rynie Beach has plenty of parking, beautiful views in all directions, rocks and more rocks to explore and space for taking long walks. It is a lovely beach for nature lovers.
Although this beach doesn’t allow for swimming in the sea due to how rocky it is, the tidal pool more than makes up for it. If you prefer to swim in the sea there are other beaches in Park Rynie that can be accessed from the various resorts that accept day visitors. Scottburgh Beach, that offers everything, is only a short drive away.
Access to the beach
The parking area is higher than the beach and offers spectacular views from your car. The beach can easily be accessed from the parking area by way of either steps going down to the beach or by a walkway leading down to the tidal pool.
The sights of Park Rynie Beach:
Tidal Pool
The tidal pool is large and is great for kids and grown-ups alike. On the day we visited this beach we saw several people snorkeling in the pool to take a closer look at the little creatures who make this pool their home. During high tide the waves splashes right over the rim of the pool giving the impression that you are swimming in the sea.
Parking
The parking area is large with lawn areas on both sides that is idea for a picnic. Since it is higher than the beach area the views from there is really special.
The views and the sounds of the breakers against the rocks were so relaxing we ended up sitting in our car for a long while before getting out to explore the beach when we got there.
